Bran Castle

Bran Castle is one of the most impressive historic monuments of Romania . Bran Castle is in  Rucar-Bran aisle, situated between Bucegi Mountains and Piatra Craiului Mountains. It is a tourist attraction that draws hundreds of thousands of tourists because of a legend : Legend of Count Dracula , although the historical sources say that Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler) had been here just once.
Built on a rock, Bran Castle houses the Bran museum, which extends for four floors. And although foreign tourists come annually in search of Dracula legend, and the guide accentuates its mythical side, the history of Bran Castle fascinates them alike.
The first documentary attestation of Bran Castle is represented by a document issued on November 19th, 1377, by the king of Hungary . Through this document, Brasov inhabitants were given the privilege to build a stone fortress at Bran.

Dambovicioara Gorge and Cave of Dambovicioara

Located on Rucar – Bran aisle, in the village of Dambovicioara,  Dambovicioara Gorge with a length of only 3 km, with verticality rock walls and narrow passage that cuts the small creek Dambovicioara, is impressive. At their end is Dambovicioara village and Cave of Dambovicioara.
The cave of Dambovicioara, located in the karst area of Rucar – Bran, was formed in the limestone of Jurassic age of Piatra Craiului Mountains, due to the action of the water of Dambovicioara River. It is easily reached from Rucar on the road Brasov - Pitesti onto the village of Podu Dambovitei, and from here you can find the indicator "Dambovicioara - 5km".

The castle and historical relics from Rasnov

The citadel of Rasnov is situated on the road of old tradition Brasov - Rucar - Campulung Muscel connecting Transylvania to Romanian Country. It is built on the hill that rises to the south of the settlement Rasnov, through the collective effort of the inhabitants of this settlement , aided by those of neighboring villages, Cristian and Vulcan and it was called "Peasant’s Fortress" because its inhabitants main occupation was agriculture. Rasnov is first mentioned in the documents of 1355 and it was used until 1849. In recent years it was restored and entered the tourist circuit. Visitors can find here a museum, a medieval tavern and souvenir shops.

Poiana Brasov

Poiana Brasov is one of the most popular ski resorts and an important tourist center preferred by many tourists not only from Romania, but also from other countries. After its modernization, after 2010, the ski area has increased from 50 hectares to 80 hectares and slopes length was increased from 13.8 km to 23.9 km. In 2013 it hosted figure skating, alpine skiing and speed skating at the Olympic Winter Festival of European Youth.
It is located at about 1,312 meters, near Brasov and it is easily accessible by road . Poiana Brasov is surrounded by four mountains : Postavaru , Piatra Craiului , Bucegi and Piatra Mare.

Dam of Pecineagu Satic

The dam is located on the upper river called Dambovita , in a depression between the Piatra Craiului Mountains and the Iezer Papusa Mountains. It was made of rocks with a mask of reinforced concrete upstream. It has a height of 107 m and a crest length of 267 m. From the sealed mask there is a gallery perimeter, made on accounts, and there were performed 50 vertical drainage wells. Pecineagu Reservoir is used for water supply, hydroelectric power and irrigation.


Gorge of Ghimbav

The Gorge represent the result of Ghimbav river, formed by the union of streams Andolia, Valea Popii and Cumparata. After a journey of 3 km from the union of the waters, river meets in front the  limestone walls and stone walls of Ghimbav Mountain and Dragoslavele Stone which dig through their hearts, up to the confluence with the Great Key of Dambovita.
Relatively easy route in summer and autumn, but not suitable in winter and spring when, from the rock walls exceeding 300 m, there are falling rocks and debris cones are tumble after thawing. The entrance is from Glejaria ( Cenuseria ) of the Village Dragoslavele under Coltii Ghimbavului.


Mausoleum at Mateias

Heroes Mausoleum in Valea Mare - Pravat known as the Mausoleum of Mateias, is a monument dedicated to the heroes of the War of National Wholeness, of 1916-1918 . It is located on Mateias Hill.
The mausoleum was built between 1928-1935, according to the plans of the architects Dumitru Ionescu- Berechet and State Balosin , by a builder called DeNicolo. For the building it was used mainly limestone from Albesti.
The building is composed of two buildings: one horizontal, the ossuary , which houses in 31 crypts the remains of 2,300 Romanian troops, and one vertical, a tower - shaped patio, leading to a spiral staircase.


Water Park Brasov

In the city Brasov it is open one of the largest indoor water parks in the country. Water Paradise Resort has 8 modern pools, 1300 chairs, sand volleyball court, playground for children, outdoor terraces. In winter, if you want to have some unique experience, you can admire the snow outside while swimming in heated water.

Dragoslavele Hermitage

Dragoslavele Hermitage was built in 1929 as a residence for resting of Muscelean patriarchal priesthood who built a villa there and that, meanwhile, have given a Patriarch Miron Cristea. Patriarch Miron Cristea was a great fighter for the unity of the country, the first Patriarch of the unified Romania, regent and then, between 1938 and 1939, Prime Minister of Romania.
In terms of cultural heritage in Dragoslavele there are protected monuments: Church of the Assumption from 1661, Ascension Church from 1745; Cross of Matei Basarab, from the years 1632 to 1654; Cross of Lupu Vamesu from 1692; Cross of Coman Chief Magistrate from 1724; patriarchal residence from 1930.

Memorial House “George Toparceanu” (Namaiesti)

Memorial House is a subsidiary of Municipal Museum in Campulung. The building belonged to the in-laws of the poet G. Topîrceanu and it was donated in 1966 by the poet's wife, Victoria Topîrceanu, to arrange the memorial house of the poet. Currently, the house where the poet lived and created, for 8 years, houses a permanent memorial exhibition, composed of exhibits related to the life and work of the poet. When entering the small park, it lies there the bust of George Topîrceanu. On the pedestal there are dashed off the last verses of "Ballad of Death". The poet was not born here, but in Bucharest. His mother lived at Namaesti, and here it seems that also lived his wife, along with their son.
